*sigh*

Before I went to work yesterday all of the wicking beds looked like this.

The plants were put in 3 cardboard boxes in a shady part of the yard. Only one box bottom fell through as I was moving them.

The trellises and fences I painstakingly constructed were tossed onto the lawn by the youngest two.

We left the house.
When we came back the place looked like this:

If they don’t come today there’ll be profanity. Just warning…

  2. Bev says:

    Just profanity? I’d suggest ‘murder’.

Perhaps they did come, but you were at work so they didn’t dare go into a backyard and maybe have a neighbour call the police to collect an intruder?
You should check and see if you need to be home to let them in and start the work.
In most cases, someone needs to be home, at least to show the workman/boy what needs doing and where.

    RUH ROH. Hope they came!

  5. persiflage says:

Grrrr. It is so horrid when you expect something like that to be done and it just does not happen. But river might be right.
I still don’t quite understand -should pay more attention- what wicking beds are….

  6. Liz says:

    I feel your pain….

  7. Jayne says:

Kill two birds with one stone (literally) = when they finally turn up, get ’em to dig the hard work, then bop them on the head, burying them in the wicking beds, thereby providing plenty of fertiliser for your vegies 🙂

Don't be shy... say something!
