It was cold this morning. After I let the dogs in after their breakfast Molly discovered a basket of unsorted laundry and decided it was a good place for a short nap. I felt like joining her; I’d come in late the night before after delivering a thermomix to one of my oldest friends and then going on to my sister Kate’s place and signing her up as a consultant as well!! Very exciting. It was hard to get up early though.
After all the thermomixing over the last few weeks, I have nothing on for the next 4 nights. I’ve just come in from work; I’ve been to my Group Leader’s place and picked up some recipe books; I’ve swung by the fruiterer’s and picked up the box of old veggies for the chooks; I’ve come home and waved off three of my boys as they went to their Dad’s for the weekend; so after I make a couple of phone calls for the business I’m going to climb into my pjs and have the night to myself! David18 is playing his guitar in his room and singing away, the dogs are snoring happily by the heating ducts, the cats are curled up at different heating ducts and the chooks are in their run eating the fruiterer’s offerings so all’s right with the world.
I didn’t bring home any schoolwork because I only have half a class’s worth of exams still to mark and then my reports will all be done, so I have the long weekend to myself. Looking at the devastation that is the back garden, I’ll have plenty to do should time suddenly start to drag. (Is it wrong to wish for torrential rain all three days so I’m forced to curl up inside and knit instead?)
I’ll write more tomorrow I’m sure. Jut thought that now I’ve got the new site (did it myself, which is a testament to the WordPress people because I’m an ultra technophobe and I was scared to try until the IT guy at work told me what to do) I should get back into it. Looking at the prospect of having my blog wiped from the face of the earth made me fully realise hoe precious it is to me, along with the friendships I’ve formed through it, so I’m SO glad I was able to preserve it. (For free too, though I have Janet to thank for that. She asked me at a Craft Camp ages ago why I was paying $5 a month for blog hosting when I was so frugal. I had no good answer for her then, so when the hosting emergency came up I had her question in the forefront of my mind and I elected to do it myself this time.)
Well, I’m off to talk to some thermomix customers and prospects and then drink some red wine and watch “Game of Thrones”. Bliss!
