The weather….

demotivational posters - NOW IS THE WINTER

Winter. It wouldn’t be so bad except that some of the classrooms have dodgy heaters which are going to get replaced over the holidays “because it’s less disruptive that way.” Meanwhile, we shiver on. Thank God for my fingerless gloves and the cowls and scarves I’ve knitted over the years.

Didn’t FB go nuts last night with people reacting to the earth tremor? It was quite a big one. Even I noticed it and I’m the least observant person I know. The cats were on high alert but the dogs slept on, oblivious.

The weather is a cow, how’s the old saying go?
If winter comes in like a lion it goes out like a lamb (an early spring) and if it comes in like a lamb it goes out like a lion (late, cold spring) so hopefully the damn thing will have chilled itself out by Sept and we can get planting straight away!
    The earthquake was a doozy!

    LOVE the last photo.

We are in a heat wave and drought her in the midwest of the US. Hard to even think about snow at this point!

Sorry to hear that you’re cold, but I’m jealous! My classroom was 31C today, with high humidity, and the kids had indoor recess because of the heat! Not typical Canadian weather for the first day of summer.

    Hang in there!

31C and the kids got kept inside???? Sounds like a lovely summer’s day… maybe a little warm but nothing too extreme.
(Of course, if you want to poke fun at how we shiver in our winters, feel free. 11C today and it was HORRIBLE!!!)

Don't be shy... say something!
