Loved this one!!
I have some OCD when it comes to recycling – I see things to take home to put in recycling; not liking anything tossed if I can help it.
Brilliant! Not sure why flashmobs appeal to me so much. Perhaps it’s just the romantic notion of positive “mob behaviour”. Wouldn’t it be great if we all behaved in such a positive manner when we gathered in large groups? As for the recycling issue, Victorians aren’t really trying. I am amazed at how many bottles I see on the side of the road here. You just don’t see them in South Australia because of the deposit system. Anything that some lazy person throws down is quickly picked up by someone cash conscious.
Yeah, she’ll never do that again 😉
In germany we separate our trash into paper, recyclable plastics/foil, green waste (compostable things), paper, and everything else. And we’ve done that for years and years. I guess it’s because germany is a lot more crowded than Australia or even the US, we don’t have the space for lots of landfills…
It’s not perfect system, because not all recycling actually gets recycled, but I think it’s better than nothing. Of course, not producing so much waste in the first place would be even better!
