The end of an era.

Here is the product of 13 years of schooling on his last official day of classes.

Yep! David19 is now looking down the barrel of a couple of weeks of swot vac and then exams. On Tuesday night we have the valedictory dinner, where I’ll get dressed up and he’ll get suited up and we all go in to see the kids graduate. It’s definitely a night of “well mannered frivolity”, to quote the inimitable Minerva McGonagle, as the kids don’t get tipsy if Mum and Dad are there. Everyone looks good, everyone’s happy because the end is in sight and it’s a fun night. (It’ll be weird sitting with the parents and not at the teachers’ table, though!)

He doesn’t always look like this though. Here he is dressed up for a costume party.

I’m starting to get sentimental about my daughter finishing prep, imagine how I’ll be by the time she finishes high school….sniff…wipe away tear.

  3. Awww. Good luck David19!
