When radishes are under the ground, it’s hard to see if they’re ready or not.

Two months or so after I planted the daikon radishes, they’re going to seed. *sigh*
So I pulled one up today and used it in our chicken with plum sauce casserole.

Not a bad size for a couple of months. I also chopped up most of the leaves and threw them in as well. Waste not, want not. The rest of the leaves and the stalks I threw to the chooks, who fought over them with glee.
I’m going to gradually pull out the rest, leaving one or two for seed. Thanks Yvonne!

Glad to see you had some daikon, better than mind all gone into flowers as it was planted in the shady spot.

Don't be shy... say something!
